Sky turns overcast most of the time in monsoon. Even when the sun manages to peep out at times it is only to make a quick disappearance behind a more thick cover of  clouds. Being the season of rains it is downpour of varying intensity most of the time. All the low lying lands go under water. The river is in full spate or near spate all the time. Water even flows over the low lying bridge at times of heavier shower or discharge of excess water from the dam upstream. All the ponds present a nice picture being full to the brim. Trees and plants being drenched in water sport extra shining green foliage. Monsoon rejuvenates nature after a dry spell immediately preceding it.
